Traction Action Trophy
The Traction Action Trophy was instigated by the former Australian Model Engineering Magazine as a way to encourage model engineers to engage in the construction of miniature traction engines or other road steam vehicles. AME awarded the trophy from 2002 to 2019. From 2022, the award was taken over by E&J Winter - Bolton Scale Models.
The recipient was determined by popular vote on the Saturday of the rally and awarded at the meeting after the Saturday evening meal. The recipient keeps the trophy until the following rally where it will be available for another recipient and replaced by a small plaque to keep as a momento. E&J Winter - Bolton Scale Models also offer a $150 voucher to be used in their store as a further incentive.
